Graduate Research

Would you be interested in working on a research problem in mathematics or statistics under the supervision of a faculty member?

If you are a graduate student and are interested in working on a research project, either for your culminating experience or independent of it, you are invited to contact our faculty and find out what you could work on.  If you are not sure who to contact, then talk to the Graduate Coordinator, Dr. Oscar Vega (ovega@csufresno.edu). Projects and theses from the past have included topics from knot theory, geometry, algebra, statistics, mathematics education, number theory, analysis, and applied mathematics.

Some perspective from a graduate student who did research can be found at Mathematics Student Shares Her Candid Research Experience.

For a list of faculty and their area of expertise, check out Advisors.
