A complete application consists of
(a) A short 2 page CV of the faculty member applying to be the FURST mentor
(b) A short description of the faculty’s research interests, including a few potential research questions the faculty would like to collaborate on with other FURST faculty
(c) A description of a couple of potential research projects for students. The projects should be related to the research area/topic to which the FURST team is applying, and will be discussed and presented by the FURST students several times during the immersion phase.
(d) A letter of commitment from the faculty’s administration stating that the faculty member will get a full course buyout in the fall of 2015 in order to be able to continue supervising the FURST students in their research, and help them complete their projects.
