Student participants of the REU will receive

  • $3500 stipend
  • $500 travel allowance to/from the REU
  • $500 travel allowance to a conference (typically either MathFest or the Joint Mathematics Meetings) where they present results from the REU
  • housing for the duration of the REU (students will be required to sign their own lease for the arranged apartments but the REU will cover the cost of the rent)
  • an exciting experience!
