At Cal State Apply, students will be required to
Fill out the online application for the University.
Provide Personal Information
Provide Academic History
Provide Supporting Information
Pay the processing fee ($70)
Add Program, locate and check (√) the General Experimental Psychology Program
Provide all the Program Materials, which include these three tabs:
Overall GPA, GPA for the last 90 units, GPA for your major
Identify the courses that you have taken in Psychology. These courses are not required
for applications but are recommended.
Pick three faculty members that you would like to serve as your mentor. To find out
research interests of faculty, go to the Research page.
Rank the order of the three faculty members with regards to your preference.

These are often from academic research advisors or instructors, but they can also
come from other people that know your character and capabilities.

” What do you understand to be the roles of a school psychologist? Why do you want
to be a school psychologist? Present your vision of yourself as a school psychologist
in our increasingly diverse society.” Please limit your response to 1300 words or
two-three pages single spaced.

Supporting Materials Sent Directly to the University
The following materials are required by the University:
Official transcripts (sealed and ordered from previously attended colleges)
You do not have to send any portion of the Psychology graduate application to the
University graduate admissions office. You only have to send your official transcript.
These documents must be mailed to the appropriate admissions office (see Domestic
or International Students).
