Dr. David Zellmer is a Professor Emeritus of Analytical Chemistry at California State University, Fresno.  He earned his doctorate in Analytical Chemistry at the University of Illinois in 1969 where he specialized in Radiochemical and Electrochemical methods.

Areas of Specialty

Dr. Zellmer teaches undergraduate courses in analytical chemistry such as Chem 102 and 105, and is currently focusing on courses for future science teachers such as NSCI 116, Energy, High Technology, and Society.  He was an early innovator in the uses of computers and the Internet on this campus, and has produced or maintains several web sites at the University.  He also serves as a member of the editorial team that has produced updated versions of widely used textbooks in analytical chemistry. Under the Faculty Early Retirement Program (FERP) he teaches during the Spring semester.
