Krish earned his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Science and post-doctoral work at the Scripps Research Institute. He held a staff-scientist position at the Burnham Institute and a Senior Scientist Position at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, before joining the faculty of Chemistry.

Areas of Specialty

Teaching: Krish teaches undergraduate and graduate level courses in Physical Chemistry (CHEM 108, 110A/B, 111 and 215) including a graduate level class in his specialty, Biophysical Chemistry and NMR Spectroscopy

Research: Krish's group is interested in the application of tools from physics, mathematics, and computer science to chemically and biologically important problems. We extensively use Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Spectroscopy and computer simulations to study structure and dynamics of proteins. In addition, we use a range of biostatistical and bioinformatics tools to analyze large scale experimental data, such as multiplex immunoassay for protein biomarker detection and gene-expression dynamics. See the PubMed list of publications to get an idea of the current interests or publications.

Additional Appointments

Adjunct Professor, Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine, University of California School of Medicine.
