I have done work at the interface of gravitational physics and particle physics. I
have studied gravitational theories in higher dimensional space-times in an effort
to understand how one might combine gravity with particle physics. I have approached
the gravity particle physics boundary also via investigations the quantum phenomenon
whereby black holes radiate thermal radiation. Recently I have been studying the quantum
mechanical Aharonov-Bohm effect, where particles have their quantum phase modified
even in the case when they experience no classical forces.
