I'm a CSU, Fresno alumna; I received my B.S. in Biology (Physiology) in 2001, a Certificate
of Advanced Studies in Biotechnology in 2004 and my M.S. in Biology in 2004. I studied Vibrio cholerae for my Master's Thesis, and as a Ronald E. McNair scholar, I worked with Mamta Rawat
with Mycobacterium smegmatis, a model organism for M. tuberculosis. After completing my M.S., I worked at Fresno City College, and then decided to
pursue my California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license, which I received in 2012
after training at Kaweah Health laboratory. I currently work at Kaweah full-time
as a Generalist CLS, and I am the QA/QC/Projects Section Chief and Laboratory Safety
Officer.
