Research

How to get involved with undergraduate research?

Faculty members are involved in both theoretical and experimental research. Several offer research opportunities for undergraduates.

  • Determine what research topics interest you
  • Visit faculty’s personal webpages to learn more about their research projects
  • Familiarize yourself with the research of faculty you’d like to work with
  • Contact faculty to talk more about their research and/or ask about research opportunities in their labs

Don’t be discouraged if the first faculty member you contact does not have an open slot in their laboratory. Ask several and be patient!
