Ellen Woo, Ph.D., ABPP-CN, is a clinical neuropsychologist with expertise in neurodegenerative
diseases. She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at CSU Fresno
and an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at UCSF. Dr. Woo is the Director
of the Cognitive Neuropsychology Lab, which conducts research on identifying people
at risk for Alzheimer’s disease, with the goal that treatment can be applied as early
as possible. She is also the Director of the Brain Health & Science Program, which
is an interdisciplinary scientific and educational entity devoted to targeting diseases
that affect brain functioning.
Prior to CSU Fresno, Dr. Woo was the Co-Associate Director of the UCLA Alzheimer’s
Disease Center and the Director of the Neuropsychology Program in the UCLA Department
of Neurology, which included overseeing the Neuropsychology Clinic, the pre-doctoral
and postdoctoral training programs, and neuropsychological research.
