Dr. Lauren A. Dial (she/her) is currently an Assistant Professor of Psychology at
Fresno State.
Dr. Dial earned her PhD in Developmental Psychology from Bowling Green State University
and her BA from San Diego State Univeristy-IV. Broadly, her research focuses on how
children think about food.
- Children’s conceptualization of health, primarily in the domain of food
- Food cognitions/food-related decisions in children and adults and factors that impact
those decisions
- Food in relation to culture and identity
Primarily, my research focuses on how children think about food. Also, I'm interested
in the many different factors that impact how we think and make decisions about food.
