Health Careers Opportunity Program

Prospective Students

Once students reach the ranks of our university, as a HCOP student, we offer the resources and assistance to help prepare students to become competitive applicants in the following fields:
  • Chiropractic
  • Clinical Lab Science
  • Dentistry
  • Medicine (Physician)
  • Optometry
  • Pharmacy
  • Physician Assistant
  • Podiatry 
  • Psychology Field (including Clinical Psychology)
  • Public Health 
  • Veterinary Medicine
Each year, the Health Careers Opportunity Program (HCOP) serves over 500 Fresno State students who are engaged in addressing the growing health needs of communities. 

For our students, HCOP is more than just a place to learn about health careers, it’s a place where lives are changed, where students receive necessary and on-going academic support, guidance and opportunities to become aspiring health professionals.

If interested in receiving the HCOP newsletter and opportunities complete the HCOP form. The HCOP Form is accepted year-round.

High school students and community college students are encouraged to complete the HCOP form only once the student has accepted their admissions offer to Fresno State and have committed to attending Fresno State.

Apply to HPP (if eligible) after the HCOP form is submitted

Step 3

Consider applying for the Health Professions Committee letter. Open to all current students and recent alumni.
