Register Your Students to Present

CSM Faculty, This is a perfect low-stakes opportunity to give your students a chance to gain valuable skills in communicating and sharing the work they have done with their peers, and the scientific community at Fresno State. A critical component of many High Impact Practices (i.e. undergraduate research experiences, first-year experiences, capstone courses/projects, service learning, etc.)  includes giving your students a chance to share and gain feedback on their learning experience. If you are engaging your students in research experiences that can lead up to a poster presentation, consider signing up your class!

Sign Up to be a CSM Instructor/Staff Judge

We are looking for faculty and staff judges to review student posters. Your feedback is critical to the growth and learning of students presenting at the Showcase of Excellence. If you have time and wish to contribute to this event, please consider signing up for any of the available timeslots using the link provided below.

Faculty and Students

Due to the large number of poster printing requests the CSM receives at the end of the year, we highly recommend submitting a request for poster printing no later than 10 days before the day of the event. Submitting a request within 10 days of the event risks the poster not being ready in time.

Students

Students, you are responsible for filling out the "CSM Poster Printing Request Form". Instructions for requesting poster printing by the CSM:

Before sending in the request:

  1. NAME your file in the following format: FacultyLastName_StudentLastName.pdf.
  2. Save your poster as a PDF and check the size! PDFs are accidently most commonly saved at dimensions of 8.5"x11" rather than the intended print size. To check dimensions, open your file in Acrobat and hover over the bottom left corner.
  3. Your maximum dimensions are 36” x 48” (please note: there will be a small white border on the final print)

Sending the request:

To send in your request use the button below. This will take you to the submission form with the same insturctions and steps listed in this section. Fill it out and give your faculty a heads up that they should be on the lookout for a review/confirmation email.

Faculty

Faculty, please share these instructions with your students and be on the lookout for any emails requesting confirmation. If you have questions regarding poster printing, please reach out to csmsa@mail.frensostate.edu.

Miss the Deadline?

If you are unable to submit your poster before the deadline, we also accept poster presentations in the following format.

Thank you to all of our previous year's participants! We hope you all got a chance to interact with peers and get feedback on your presentations. Participating in events like this help grow your skills as a scientist and show you how much you have learned since your time in college.
