EES Scholarships and Donors
Bob Gustafson Memorial Fund
The Bob Gustafson Memorial Fund will help support students during field camp and miscellaneous field trip expenses for the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences.
Dale and Karla Reitz Scholarship
A scholarship shall be awarded to deserving student who is working toward the completion of a baccalaureate degree in Earth and Environmental Science with a Geology option. Applicants must show demonstrated scholastic excellence, leadership qualities, and service to the university, fellow students and/or the community. Preference shall be given to students interested in energy or minerals career. Student must have a cumulative minimum GPA of 3.5 or greater and be a United States citizen. Only applicants who are currently enrolled at Fresno State (at the time the scholarship application is submitted) will be considered.
Dana Scholarship
Awarded to a senior or graduate student in the Department of Geology. Scholarship is non-renewable.
Frederick Dale Trauger Scholarship
Scholarships for students majoring in earth and/or environmental sciences, one or more student(s) demonstrating academic achievement and/or potential. Preference shall be given to junior or senior level students.
Fresno Gem and Mineral Society Scholarship
Scholarships awarded for Master's Thesis Research.
Scholarships awarded for Senior Thesis or for Summer Field Class.
Kenneth Schmidt Hydrogeology Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a deserving student pursuing studies in Earth and Environmental Science, and who demonstrates an interest in groundwater. Student must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 and demonstrate motivation and desire to obtain a graduate degree in Geology within the College of Science and Mathematics.
Tamsen Nichols Munger Endowment
The Tamsen Nichols Munger Scholars program is available to students majoring within the Geology option of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Physics, Mathematics, or Chemistry within the College of Science and Mathematics. All applicants must be a junior or senior and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
