About Us
Our History
Since 2009, Applied Behavior Analysis Services at Fresno State (ABA@FS) has provided targeted interventions for individuals from age 18 months through adulthood with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other developmental and intellectual disabilities. ABA@FS works closely with the Central Valley Regional Center (CVRC) and is also contracted with many school districts, day programs, and residential facilities in the area. We also work with numerous Medi-Cal and commercial insurance funding sources.
Our Mission
Our mission at ABA@FS is to enhance the independence, happiness, socialization, and overall quality of life for individuals and their families by reducing barriers to learning, teaching effective communication strategies, practicing relaxation techniques, and promoting independent, functional living skills that align with each person's values and goals. We work hard to ensure that our clients voices are heard, valued, and respected throughout services by incorporating their input and consent across all intervention goals and protocols. Our organization firmly believes that a diverse and inclusive environment is vital to our growth and success – we recognize the dignity and worth of every person and actively work to ensure our services are free from discrimination, coercion, and harassment.
Our Distinction
The leadership at ABA@FS are all full-time faculty in the Department of Psychology at Fresno State. ABA@FS provides practicum placements for graduate students in the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Master’s program at Fresno State and our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) provide ongoing supervision in compliance with Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) standards to students who are working towards their Master’s degree.
