Research Infrastructure in Minority Institutions
Facilities and Equipment
RIMI offers numerous facilities and equipment in order to promote research and learning.
A state-of-the-art shared biomedical research facility has been developed and is housed in Science I building (Room 18) on campus.
This facility includes instrumental support in the areas of proteomics, functional genomics, and bioinformatics to nurture biomedical research in the Central Valley. Functional Genomics employs equipment to understand the dynamics of DNA while Molecular and Cellular Imaging uses equipment to observe cellular functions without interfering with them. Finally, Bioinformatics provides the computational power to process results and assist in analyses.
